The family had a photo of the graduating class of the 'JJ Division' H.M.C.S. Kings (September 1943) reframed along with the list of graduates' names and an engraved nameplate. It will be presented to the wardroom at the University of King's College in memory of their father who was a member of the graduating class.
The frame was made by stacking two mouldings together: the outer moulding is a deep scoop profile with a charcoal stain finish, while the inner frame is a narrow flat profile with an antique looking brown and black mottled finish. A medium tone grey Artcare mat was chosen for the top mat while a charcoal grey Artcare mat was chosen as an accent colour. The glazing is Tru Vue's Museum glass, providing the best UV protection and anti-reflective coating available.
A second photo was reframed in a similar fashion, except for the inclusion of the engraved nameplate, and will be kept in the family.
