It was an honour to work on this latest framing project for a new customer.  He had purchased one of the "Together We Stand" limited edition prints by artist Alexandre L'Heureux and wanted to frame it so he could donate it to his local RCMP detachment.  My customer wanted to represent the RCMP Red Serge dress uniform in the frame design, so he chose a tan colour for the outer mat to represent the colour of the RCMP campaign hat and a red colour for the inner mat to represent the scarlet coloured jacket.

Some background about this print...

On June 4, 2014, Canadians were shocked and saddened to hear that five RCMP officers were shot in the line of duty in Moncton, New Brunswick.  Three of the RCMP officers were killed and the other two were seriously injured.  One of the fallen RCMP officers was a K9 handler.

Caraquet, New Brunswick artist, Alex L'Heureux, sketched a drawing of three German Shepard puppies to represent the three RCMP officers killed in Moncton.  He had 500 prints of his drawing professionally made on 14" x 17" hard press quality art paper and is selling them to raise money for the three families of the fallen RCMP officers.  Details of how you can purchase one of these prints can be found on his Facebook page

Framed prints with a RCMP crest pin or the official blue mourning ribbon are also available for purchase from the artist.

Although Haverstock Creative Designs is not officially part of this fundraising effort, I have purchased a print to frame and display in my studio and for customers who bring this print to me to frame, I will also donate 10% of their framing cost to help support this worthy cause. Permission to do so had been granted by the artist.
